Welcome Welcome message from Mr McDaid

Welcome to our school website! As you navigate your way through this site I hope that your overwhelming impression is that we are a nurturing school. I hope you see a school that offers your child opportunities to learn and to achieve – a school that develops and enriches your child through their daily experiences.

Most especially we are an Integrated school and in this environment, we talk about who we are and what we believe – we respect our own and others' cultures and backgrounds and take on the challenges that living in Northern Ireland continues to present.

We are a Forest school and develop the curriculum through outdoor learning. We are proud of this and of our Eco School Status. We aim to help each child fulfil their potential and aspire to give them skills to be wonderful citizens of the future. I invite you to come and visit and see for yourself and look forward to meeting you in the near future!

40th Homework
16/09/2025 8:48 AM

In September 1985 the school opened its gates for its first pupils becoming Northern Ireland’s first Integrated Primary School.

We have a number of events planned throughout the year for both parents/carers and pupils.

Next week every pupil in the school will be asked to make the number 40. Head over to our Parentmail Page for some ideas

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher

On the week beginning 8th September you will have an opportunity to come to school and meet your child’s teacher.

Teachers will explain the routines, curriculum and expectation for their class.

Having a good relationship between parent/carers and teachers is an important way to help ensure your child’s learning experience this year is a positive one.

This is not a Parent Meeting, these will be at the end of October (Dates to be confirmed)

The teachers in every class hope you are able to attend –

P1 – Monday 8th September – 9.15 – 9.45am

P2-3 – Thursday 11th September – 1.30 -2.00pm

P4-7 – Tuesday 9th September – 2.15 – 2.45pm

Thank you

After School Club Extension of Hours

After School Club Extension of Hours

Following the Parent Audit, a large number of parents has expressed a wish for the After Schools provision for Nursery - P3 to be extended to 4pm.

I hope to provide this provision and we are currently looking at the staffing arrangements.

I now need to confirm the pupil numbers for this and an idea of how often this provision will be used.

Can you indicate if you are interested in using this service until 4pm and what days you would require it by sending Jenny an email. I need this information by this Wednesday, 3rd September.

Jenny's email is - jwhitecross279@c2ken.net

Thank you
