I have attached pictures of our blubber experiment. The children were investigating how blubber helps an animal stay warm in the frozen conditions. The children put their hands in 2 bags of ice - one covered with blubber (lard) and one without. The children found that the layer of blubber kept the animals warm in the cold conditions,
As part of their topic, Mrs Johnston's P3 class created polar art using chalk and card. The children used cotton wool for the polar bear fur.
