While learning about the 15th century explorers, P7s experienced how challenging it is to create a map while exploring.

To round off our Titanic topic we carried out experiments using data loggers to investigate how de-icers affect the temperature of ice. Then pupils created the interior of the Titanic using Minecraft Education. Some pupils created excellent 3D models of the Titanic for homework this month.
This month the children in P7 have been learning about the construction of the Titanic through a variety of science activities experimenting with pulleys and propellors!
World War 1
This month P7 went on a trip to the Somme Museum. We learned lots about the experience of British soldiers who fought in WW1 as well as the recruitment process.

The Victorians
P7s learned about weight for the Numeracy Week P7s. As they are in the middle of the Victorians topic, they were given ingredients for gruel to measure out, using traditional balancing scales. They got to taste the gruel too. Some liked it more than others.
