Integrated Education Month 2026:

Better Together

We celebrated the end of our 40th integrated month with a cultural food fair in the school hall. Every class selected a country to learn about and prepare some local food.  Parents and guardians were invited to sample the food and see the pupils' work.  It was a great event.

Each class also completed some work on the theme of Better Together.  One of the pieces each class submitted was a foam jigsaw piece that showed the children's interpretation of this years IEM theme.

Mr McDaid and Miss Agnew were invited to NICIE's Excellence in Integration Award exhibition to present our work in relation to Hazelwood being the first school to receive the award for the 3rd time.  

Hazelwood IPNS have been awarded the Excellence in Integration Award in our 40th year.  We are the first school to receive this award for the 3rd time.  Thank you to our staff, pupils and parents for all their hard work.  Well deserved!
