Wrapping Presents for the Homeless

Our Christmas Charity
This year, Hazelwood decided to support The Morning Star Hostel as our Christmas charity. This is a refuge for homeless men in Belfast.
The student council were very keen to help local people. Our pupils were very generous and we were able to give them lots of items that they needed: hats, gloves, toiletries, clothes, snacks, soft drinks etc. Check out the pictures!
The boys and girls in Primary 6 & 7 wrapped up some of the presents in shoeboxes and wrote the homeless Christmas cards with some very thoughtful messages inside.
When people from the hostel came to pick up the gifts they were delighted at how much there was! We even needed a few elf helpers from Primary 6 to carry the huge pile of gifts out to their van.
Well done Hazelwood!

North Belfast Lantern Parade

We would like to congratulate student council and their families for taking part in the North Belfast Lantern Parade Festival. We had a wonderful time celebrating 100 years of Roald Dahl.
We would also like to thank New Lodge Arts who made the event so special.
